Estimator/Project Manager
LVS is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to join one of Chicagoland's largest and fastest-growing low voltage contractors. Since 1997, LVS has been delivering exceptional low voltage projects across various sectors, including healthcare, education, industrial, data centers, and government facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in project management and estimating within structured cabling, fire alarm, security, and audio-visual systems. This role involves preparing bid pricing, budgets, design-build proposals, and request for proposal submissions, as well as managing a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:
· Estimating and Bidding: Prepare bid pricing, budgets, and proposals for new opportunities.
· Project Management: Oversee all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and close-out.
· Client Management: Maintain and grow relationships with current clients while pursuing new work.
· Scope Review: Assess the scope of work, materials, and project schedules.
· Meetings and Presentations: Participate in pre-bid, bid-review, and construction meetings, and present at shortlist interviews.
· Cost Tracking: Monitor job costs and document necessary processes.
· Proposal Writing and Negotiation: Write professional proposals and negotiate terms.
· Relationship Building: Develop relationships with general contractors, electrical contractors, integrators, and end-users.
Qualifications:
· Experience: At least three years of project management and estimating experience in structured cabling, fire alarm, security, and audio-visual systems.
· Software Proficiency: Must be proficient with computer software programs used in estimating and project management.
· Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate with customers, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
· Financial Acumen: Ability to track and control costs, manage P&L goals, and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
· Contract Negotiation: Capability to read and negotiate the scope of work for service and construction contracts.
